Job Description:

The Reservoir Engineer evaluates gas reserves, supplies and properties and provides estimates of long-term availability. The position is responsible for gas storage well and reservoir engineering, operations, maintenance, and construction including storage well and field prioritization. It contributes toward Gas Safety Excellence goals by improving safety, reliability and affordability for one or more asset families and one or more life cycles.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Well project activity (e.g., well drilling, field development, well workover, asset retirement).
  • Participates in geologic and engineering evaluation of storage development or enhancement prospects
  • Administers gas storage data base (GSDB) for reservoir services section
  • Performs engineering assignments of moderate scope and complexity
  • Assesses well Integrity and reports anomalies
  • Participates on industry roundtables and groups as related to storage

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a valid California driver’s license on day one of employment
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • 3 years of engineering experience, preferably in an oil or gas reservoir-related field.
  • Has broad expertise in Oil and Gas Well work.
  • Engineer in Training Certificate
  • Strong knowledge in the field of process technology, metallurgy, equipment design, and reservoir degradation modes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in geological, petroleum engineering
